'Wow!!' cried Samantha. 'She's brought a DRAGON!' yelled Sashi. I landed in the playground with the dragon and everyone immediately began to cluster round. 'That's amazing!' said Jasper. 'Incredible!' agreed Bruno. 'Woah!' said Zoe. The dragon smiled proudly and puffed out a cloud of stars and glitter. Its scales shimmered in the sunshine. I suddenly felt very pleased that I had brought such an interesting pet into school. 'Do you want to have a ride?' I asked

my friends. 'I'm sure the dragon wouldn't mind.' 'Yes!!' cried Bruno. 'I want a ride. Let me go first!' He hopped onto the dragon's back and the dragon flew up into the air.

It did a little circle and then landed gently back on the ground. 'Wheee!' squealed Bruno. 'I want a go!' shouted Oliver. One by one my friends all had a go on the dragon's back until Miss Cherry spotted what was happening and came racing into the playground looking very shocked and surprised. 'What's going on?' she shrieked. 'This is a health and safety hazard! Everyone, come inside immediately!' The dragon flapped back down to the ground and we all followed Miss Cherry into the classroom. I sat down at my desk and the dragon

sat next to me. It kept puffing out clouds of stars and glitter into the air. The boy sitting in front of me began to sneeze. 'Now,' said Miss Cherry from the front of the class, 'we are all going to take turns to come up to the front of the class and talk about our pets! Who wants to go first?' Bruno shot his hand up into the air and Miss Cherry beckoned him to the front.
