Chapter SIX A few nights later, I was snuggled up in bed with Pink Rabbit when I heard a little tapping sound at my window. 'Mignonette!' I whispered, jumping out of bed and rushing to open it. 'Hello!' squeaked Mignonette, fluttering into the room. 'It's nice to see you again!'

'It's nice to see you too!' I said. 'Have you made your mind up about your fang yet?' asked Mignonette.

'I have,' I said. 'I'm really sorry but I gave it to Dad.' 'Oh!' said Mignonette. She sounded SO disappointed. 'But listen,' I said. 'I've got two fangs haven't I! And the other one is definitely reserved for you!' 'Really?!' said Mignonette, clasping her paws together. 'Do you really mean it?' 'Absolutely definitely,' I said. 'So you'll get your medal from the queen after all! AND I've been keeping the fang nice and polished for you. I went to the dentist!' 'You did?' gasped Mignonette. 'Yes,' I said proudly. Then I opened

up my doll's house and reached inside for something small and special. 'It's an extra medal from me!' I said. I made it' specially for you, from silver paper and this tiny piece of ribbon.

It's for helping me to be brave enough to go to the dentist. I would never have gone if it hadn't been for you.' 'Oh Isadora!' said Mignonette, and I was sure I could see little tears shining in the corners of her black beady eyes. 'This is better than any official tooth fairy medal! I'm so pleased I could help you!' 'That's OK,' I said, gently putting the tiny medal over Mignonette's head. She beamed with pleasure. 'Do you want to see my other fang?' I asked. 'Dad's framed it already!' 'I'd love to,' said Mignonette and so
