怪兽与贝萨妮 · 3 Battle of the Beast

13 The Very Good Gog

The Very Good Dog Don't think that you're getting your own way here," said Ebenezer that morning, as he held open the rickety old door. "One little trip around the neighborhood, and then we're bringing you straight back to this attic." "Thank you sooo much, Ebby-kneesies!" The beast climbed to its feet. It was still a

little shaky, so it held out its tiny, sticky hands. Ebenezer folded his arms and refused to help. "I'm so looking forward to spending the day together." With great effort and slowness, the beast waddled out of the attic. "Whoasies! Goshykins!" it said, as its three eyes took in the house. "I don't think I can do all those stairs." "Yes, you can," snapped Ebenezer. He tried giving the beast a little shove from behind. "The quicker you do it, the quicker we'll be done." "Hmmykins," said the beast. "I think I might need a little help from my belly." The beast closed its three black eyes and shut its dribbling mouth. It wiggled its blob of a body from side to side and let out a deep

hum. Then, a moment later, its eyes and mouth snapped open, and it vomited out a huge canoe. "This'll be much easier," said the beast. It plopped its body into the front and patted for Ebenezer to take one of the many seats behind. Ebenezer crossed his arms tighter and shook his head. The beast rolled its three eyes. "You better get in. Otherwise I could just whoosh away from you," said the beast. "Isn't it a better idea to keep an eye on me?"

Reluctantly, Ebenezer stepped into the canoe. The beast clapped its tongues together in delight. "Beltyseats on, Ebby-kneesies!" said the beast. The beast wiggled its fingers and sent the canoe whooshing down the many flights of stairs, at roughly the speed of a cheetah who's just realized that they're late for their best friend's birthday party. It brought the canoe to a shuddering halt in the downstairs hallway. The beast jumped out and threw up a teeny, tiny anchor to make sure that it wouldn't go anywhere.

"That was sooooo coooolsies!" said the beast. "I loved hearing you scream with joysies!" "Those weren't joyful screams," said Ebenezer. He unbuckled his seat belt and got out of the canoe, his legs shaking like overexcited maracas. "They were just screams." The beast's face fell. "Oh dearsies. I'm really not very good at this do-goodingy, am I? I'm sure I can get better, though. Where firstykins? Shall we hit the streeties straightawaysies?" "Hold on a minute," said Ebenezer. "We're going to need to do something about your appearance. If people get one look at you, we could cause a wave of hysteria."

The beast chewed its tongues thoughtfully. It started to hum and wiggle again. "Oh no, what now?" asked Ebenezer. He removed the thumb-sized button from his pocket. "I warn you, if you so much as think of vomiting out any weapons, then I'll…" But the beast didn't vomit out any weapons. It vomited out a large three-piece suit.
