The Day Terry Flushed Me Down theToilet
"Hey, Andy," said Terry, "do you want me to flush you down the toilet?" "No thanks," I said. "Are you sure?" "Pretty sure, yeah." "But haven't you always wondered what it would be like to be flushed down the toilet?" "No, not really," I said. "Go on," said Terry. "Just one little flush." "I can't," I said. "I'm busy." "Busy doing what?" said Terry. "Busy not being flushed down the toilet," I said. "Well, too bad," said Terry. "Because I'm going to do it anyway." "NO!!!" I shouted. But it was too late. The next thing I knew, Terry had picked me up, put me headfirst in the toilet, and pushed the flush button.
After a long, watery ride, I opened my eyes to find myself at the bottom of the ocean. I could tell it was the bottom of the ocean because there was water everywhere, a lot of sand, and a whole bunch of weird- looking fish.Oh yeah, and a sign that said:
I swam around looking for the exit until, in the distance, I saw a magnificent sandcastle rising up from the sea floor. It was decorated with seaweed, shells, sticks, bottle tops, and bits of broken glass, and on the front door there was a sign that said: FREE AIR.
I'd been holding my breath ever since I was flushed, so the idea of any air— free or not— was very tempting.
I swam through the door into an air lock, where there was no water— just air. Cool, fresh, free air! I took a deep breath. And another. And another.
