Chapter 15 EVERYBODY LOVES A HAPPY ENDING! WHICH MEANS YOU'RE PROBABLY GOING TO REALLY HATE THIS PART. A few days passed before Morgan and his friends were able to return to Minecraft. It was their first time donning their goggles since they had won the golem's game. There was just one more piece of the Evoker King to retrieve. Just one! They spawned at the blue soul fire camp, where they checked the golem's chests for good measure. The chests were empty. They had already gone through every bit of the golem's loot. "WE'RE RUNNING REALLY LOW ON… EVERYTHING," said Harper.

"That's all right," said Theo. "We'll be able to resupply in the Overworld." "I am so ready to get out of this place," said Po. "I'll sort of miss the piglins, to be honest," said Jodi. Morgan shuddered thinking about the piglike mobs. "Not me. COME ON, LET'S GO." At the portal, Morgan wondered briefly what they'd see on the other side. It had been more than a week since they'd been in the Overworld. The last time they'd seen it, the Fault had swallowed the entire sky. He hoped it hadn't gotten any worse. That hope was in vain. Morgan's virtual jaw dropped open as he stepped out into the Overworld. It was unrecognizable. The Fault was everywhere. A pixelated, lightning- lanced abyss of darkness stretched out above, before, and below them. The landscape was still there—he had land beneath his feet—but it was cracked and segmented. It looked more like the floating islands of the End than the Overworld he knew and loved. His friends came through the portal behind him. One by one, they all gasped. "What happened here?" asked Jodi. "We're too late," Morgan told her. "THE FAULT… IT'S SWALLOWED THE WHOLE OVERWORLD!"
