Watch Out for Whales written by Pam Holden illustrated by Lamia Aziz
The whale watchers went onto their big boat. First they put on their lifejackets and their hats. Then they sailed out into the deep sea. Some of the whale watchers looked to the left for whales. Some people looked to the right "Where are the whales today?" they asked.
Suddenly a big whale jumped up. It made an enormous splash. "That one must be the Father Whale," shouted the whale watchers. "Look at his enormous tail!"
Next a middle-sized whale jumped high. It dived back down again. "That one must be the Mother Whale," shouted the whale watchers. "She made a big splash, too."
Suddenly, they saw a small whale jumping out of the sea. "That one must be the Baby Whale," said the people. "He made a little baby splash."
Baby Whale saw the whale watchers. He swam to the left and the right. Next he waved his tail at them. The people laughed, and they waved back to him.
