18 Bigfoot

At bedtime every night Luke told stories to his young brother, Zac. Luke liked to tell a scary story about Bigfoot. Luke said that Bigfoot was big and hairy, with HUGE feet! He said Bigfoot was smelly, too.

Zac liked most scary stories, but the Bigfoot story was too scary. Luke said Bigfoot lived in a forest. Zac and Luke lived by a forest.

Luke woke Zac up early one morning. "Zac!" he called. "Bigfoot has been here! Come and see!" Zac looked out of the window. There were two HUGE footprints in the garden. "We need to tell Nan and Dad!" said Zac. "No," said Luke. "Let's wait! We will watch tonight. Bigfoot could come back."

That night Luke and Zac went to their bedroom early. They put out the light and sat by the window. They looked out into the garden. They waited and waited for a long time. Then they went to bed.

In the morning there were two more HUGE footprints in the garden. Zac and Luke ran outside to look. "Nan! Dad!" Zac yelled, "Come and see! Bigfoot's been here!" "I'm happy that it didn't walk on my flowers!" said Nan. Dad looked at the footprints for a long time.
