CHAPTER 15 A TIGHT SPOT Since moving to Stermont, Alexander had been yelled at by bullies, teachers, and monsters. But getting yelled at by the sky was another thing altogether. "FEAR US, SUN LOVERS! WE ARE NOW ONE POWERFUL SHADOW!"

Alexander's eyes brightened. "That's it!" He whispered to his friends. A moment later, the three of them split up. It was getting darker by the second. Alexander could no longer see his feet. He carefully made his way over to the gopher hole. "Hey, smashers!" Alexander shouted, waving to the sky. "A little bunny told me you love to snack on shadows... especially bold, juicy shadows like mine! Check it out!"

CLUNK! Rip switched on the spotlight, bathing Alexander in white light. His long, dark shadow cut across the park. KA-BLASH! There was a peal of thunder as the shadow smashers in the sky licked their chops.

They all barreled down towered Alexander.
