Chapter 1 Water for Life We need water to live. Animals and plants need water, too. The water cycle uses water over and over.

Chapter 2 What Is the Water Cycle? The Sun heats water on the ground. Water vapor rises into the air.

Chapter 3 Clouds Now water is in the air. It helps to make clouds. Soon the clouds are full of water.

Chapter 4 Raindrops Keep Falling Water in the clouds gets too heavy. The water falls as rain, snow, sleet or hail. The water runs along the ground.
