CHAPTER EIGHT It was very exciting when they all got to Kirrin Village! The police were amazed and delighted to have the two robbers safely delivered to them, with the safe and the stolen van as well!

Mr Pails was very, very grateful. Timmy was half sorry he hadn't been allowed even a small bite, but extremely happy to have been able to rescue his beloved George! 'Well- what a thrill!' said George's mother, when they arrived home at last and told their astonishing tale. 'So you didn't get to Windy Cove, after all. Still- you can all go tomorrow!' 'I can't,' said George at once. 'WHY?' asked everyone, surprised. Because- I absolutely- must- get- my- hair- cut!' said George. 'And I'll make sure I'm not locked in a cupboard next time!'
