The Club

Beth, Ned, and Meg had a club. They liked to meet as a club each week. The club was for kids who liked things with the short e sound. Beth, Ned, and Meg all have names with the short e sound.

They each had a club meal. "I like to eat bread," said Beth. "I think eggs are the best," said Ned. "I like bread and eggs," said Meg.

Meg had a dress made with feathers. "Feathers feel so soft," she said. Ned and Beth liked the feather dress. "You can put a feather on your head," they said to Meg.

Beth, Ned, and Meg liked to put on sweaters. "The sweaters are nice to have when it is cold out," said Beth.

"These sweaters are the best," they said. They did not sweat when they put them on.
