The Bee and the Flea

Bea was a bee. She lived in a hive that hung from a big tree. She liked to spend her time buzzing in and out of the hive.

Lee was a flea. Lee lived in a field of weeds with three sheep. The field was near the hive where Bea lived.

There were lots of roses by that field. Lee liked to smell the roses. The smell was so sweet that Lee wanted to eat them.

Bea buzzed in and out of the roses each week. She looked so happy to be a bee. Lee wished he were a bee. "I do not want to be a flea," he told Bea. "I want to be a bee."

"I will bring you to my hive near the field," said Bea. "You can meet the queen bee. We can see if she will let you live in the hive like a bee."
