Midge Gets a Pet

Midge goes out to play with June. June wants Midge to meet her pet. "This is my dog, Jack," says June.

June tells Midge that Jack likes to run and play fetch. Jack is fun and a good pet! Midge thinks it would be nice to have a pet.

Midge runs back into her home. She asks Mom. "Can I have a pet?" "Will you take care of the pet?" Mom asks.

"Pets need a lot of care," Mom says. "They need to be fed and brushed. You need to make time to play with them."

Midge makes a pledge to Mom. She says, "Yes, I will take care of my pet!" Mom takes Midge to a huge place with lots of pets.
