Goats and Crows

Joan lived by the coast. She had lots of goats. She liked to grow oats for the goats to eat.

Moe lived down the coast from Joan. Moe had lots of crows. He liked to grow grain for the crows to eat.

The crows wanted to eat and eat. They wanted to eat the oats Joan planted. But Joan needed those oats to feed her goats! "Be nice and go back home," Joan yelled at the crows.

The crows did not go back home. They came each day to eat her oats. Joan wanted to catch the crows and take them to Moe. But she was too slow and could not catch them.

Joan made a new plan. "I will take the goats to see Moe. I will tell him that his crows eat my oats. I will ask if my goats can eat some of his grain."
