Roses FOCUS Question How are all roses the same and how can they be different?

Roses are pretty flowers. People grow roses in gardens. People give roses as gifts. Roses come in many sizes and colors.

Rose flowers grow on rose plants. Some roses grow on their own. They are wild. Other roses grow on rose farms or in gardens.

Many rose plants have thorns. Thorns are sharp points. They help keep the rose plants safe from hungry animals. Thorns also help some roses climb.

Rose plants have soft flowers. Each flower has petals. Some roses have only five petals. Other roses have many petals.

Some roses are pink. Some roses are yellow, white, or purple. People grow roses with even more colors.
