A volcano is a mountain that blows its top. It has hot, melted rock coming out of the top.

Some volcanoes blow up on the land. They can hurt people and animals.

Some volcanoes blow up at sea. They can make new islands.

When a volcano blows up it makes a big noise. It has red fire and black smoke.

Some volcanoes are alive. They are dangerous. They can blow up often.
