This is Hansel and Gretel's father. He is a woodcutter. Here is their stepmother. She is a homemaker.

Their stepmother says, "We have no more food. What can we do?" "I will cut more wood," says the woodcutter. "And you can buy more food."

Hansel says, "Wake up, Gretel. We have no more food." "No more food?" asks Gretel. "What can we do?" Hansel says, "We have to find more wood."
