Make A Scarecrow

Grandpa took the children to his garden. He wanted them to see his strawberries. But they saw ten hungry little birds. They were eating strawberries in Grandpa's garden!

The children said they could make a scarecrow. That made Grandpa very happy. Grandma gave the children things to make a scarecrow.

They all looked out of the window. There werehungrybirds in the tree. The scarecrow was in the garden. But some birds went down to eat more strawberries.

The children helped Grandma and Grandpa put hair on the scarecrow's head. But the birds were not scared of the scarecrow's new hair.

Next the children helped get some cans ready. They put them on the scarecrow's arms. But the birds were not scared of the cans. They came back to eat more strawberries.
