Charlie To The Rescue

One day Charlie saw a big ship stuck on rocks. There was oil coming out of the ship. Then he saw people helping little penguins on the beach.

Charlie went to help, too. Some little penguins had black oil all over their feathers. He put one bird in a box and took it away to get help.

At the Bird Rescue Centre, some people looked at Charlie's penguin. It was cold and dirty. They called it Number 12.

They put a warm sweater on the little bird. Then they gave it a drink of water. Charlie was happy.

Next the people gave Number 12 a big wash. They got all the oil off the little bird. It didn't like the wash!
