Next the author looks at other drawings the artist has made. They want the best drawings for their story. Then the author gives ideas to help the artist.

The artist gets ideas for the drawings. The first drawings are made with pencil.

The artist makes a drawing with pencil for every page. Then they send them to the author to see if they are good. Sometimes the author wants things changed. The artist makes the changes and sends them back again.

Now it's time to make the final art. The artist uses pencils and pens or paints. Some artists use their computer for the pictures. They need to use good paper, too.
