CHAPTER 6 THE TROUBLE WITH ZIZZLES Suddenly, the tiny chunk of Zygo-Gogozizzle 24 began to bind with Mr. Meaner's stomach lining. It started taking over his cells at an alarming rate, spreading throughout his squishy innards and overriding his normal bodily functions. Soon, the Zygo-Gogozizzle 24 reached Mr. Meaner's mind, where it supercharged all of his brain cells and began the complicated process of making him smart. "Are you alright, Mr. Meaner?" asked the psychologist. "You look a little strange." "I'm much more than alright," replied Mr. Meaner. "I'm exceptionally impeccable!"
Mr. Meaner's fellow teachers looked worried. They had never heard him use anything larger than a three-syllable word before. Usually, Mr. Meaner just pointed at things and grunted. "Er, I think you'd better sit down," said the psychologist. "Nonsense, my good man," said Mr. Meaner, as his mind's neurons and glial cells began restructuring themselves, forming new connections and making his brain smarter and smarter each second. "I've wasted far too much time in this insipid infirmary already." "Now, wait just a minute," said the psychologist. "You can't leave here. You're a patient."
"On the contrary," said Mr. Meaner, who now spoke in a standard British accent. "I shall walk right out that door expeditiously, and neither you nor anyone else is going to stop me." "HELP! EMERGENCY!" shouted the psychologist. "We've got a runner!" Another doctor rushed in to help. Together, the two doctors blocked the exit and refused to budge. "You're not going anywhere, bub!" said the psychologist. Mr. Meaner smirked as he looked at the two doctors with pity. This was going to be too easy.
