YOU'RE HERE, Too, Boss? With a sigh, I sank into my seat. I was so tired. Maybe I could catch a few Z's on the ride to Catstinko. I stared out the window, eyes half closed. Then I saw her. Pink sneakers, pink backpack, pink headphones. Yes, it was that annoying assistant of mine, Pinky Pick! She had a huge suitcase on wheels covered in pink fake fur. Pinky was directing it from afar with a REMOTE CONTROL. A few minutes later, she boarded the bus. The driver closed the doors. Then we took off. That's when Pinky started to sing. BUT I DON'T CARE 'CAUSE IT MAKES ME SMILE! YEAH, YEAH, YEAH..." she squeaked. I heard the passengers begin to murmur. Pinky's singing got louder and louder. "I KNOW A SONG THAT DRIVES MICE WILD, BUT I DON'T CARE 'CAUSE IT MAKES ME SMILE! YEAH, YEAH, YEAH... YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH.

The other rodents began to stamp their paws. "Enough already!" one mouse cried. "MAKE HER STOP!" another insisted. "KICK HER OFF THE BUS!" someone else suggested. Pinky just kept on singing. I closed my eyes. Cheese niblets! I had the worst luck! I KNOW A SONG THAT DRIVES MICE WILD... YEAH, YEAH!"

First the bad mussels. Then the Ratty Tatty Hotel. And now Pinky Pick. Maybe I needed to get myself a lucky charm or something. My great-uncle Beady had one. It was a teeny, tiny rubber mouse he had gotten from a cheeseball machine. He carried it with him everywhere he went. He lived to be 120! Just then, I noticed something. It was quiet. UH—OH, I thought. I had a bad feeling in my stomach. Only one thing could make Pinky stop annoying the other passengers. I looked up. I was right. Pinky had spotted me. She stuck her snout right next to mine. "Boss! Boooss! You're here, too???" she shrieked. I cringed. Pinky didn't seem to notice. "So, Boss Mouse, where are you going?" she asked. I told her I was headed for Catstinko.

"Me, too!" she exclaimed. I chewed my whiskers. "I'm staying at the Ratty Tatty Hotel," I continued. "Me, too!" Pinky shouted. I twisted my tail into a knot. "I'm in room 13," I finished. "Me, too!" Pinky yelled. I began to pull out all of my fur. Pinky grinned from ear to ear. "Let's shake paws, Boss!" she squeaked happily. "We're gonna be roomies!" Then she winked. "Do you snore, Boss? Or sleepwalk? Hey, Boss, do you have athlete's paw? Do your paws stink?" Before I could answer, Pinky went on. "And here's some more
