老鼠记者 · 12 Merry Christmas, Geronimo!
YOU AGAIN? The ambulance arrived. I was put on a stretcher. One of the nurses recognized me. "You again?" he exclaimed. The other nurse looked down at me. "Ah, it's you again. Gerald Stilton, isn't it?" I wanted to tell him that my name was Geronimo. Geronimo Stilton. But I didn't get the chance. He turned around and tripped over the stretcher. I slid off and landed right on my face. Now I had a bruised snout and a broken tail. They drove me to the HOSPITAL. The
sirens blasted my eardrums. I squeaked in pain. But I couldn't hear my own cry. I- couldn't hear a thing. I closed my eyes. When I came to, I was in a hospital bed. Dr. Mender Mouse was leaning over me. He was WRAPPING up my tail in a cast. "Here again?" he said. "You should be more careful. Why don't you look before crossing the street? Ah, you brainy mice, always with your heads in the CLOUDS. You're a publisher, aren't you, Mr. Gerolamo?" I wanted to tell him about the little old mouse. I wanted to tell him about the truck. I wanted to tell him that my name was not Gerolamo. But I couldn't. He was wrapping up my snout in a cast. I looked just like a MUMMY. All I could do was mumble "Mmmmmmh!"
