The Sixth Wish

The Barth children were in big trouble. A huge, angry mother Maiasaura was about to attack them. “ Is there any way out?” shouted Panther. They could not climb out of the nest . It was too deep. They could not hide. The dinosaur would quickly find them. “ Look! The sun is about to set! ” screamed Jane.

“ Keep the dinosaur busy. The sun is going down! ” Cy screamed back. Then he had an idea. “ She took Lamb but didn’t hurt him, ” he said. “ Maybe she thinks he’s her baby, ” Bobby suggested.

“ It doesn’t matter, ” yelled Panther. ” We have to get out of here! ” Panther grabbed hold of Lamb . The dinosaur let out a high scream . She was angrier than ever. ” Panther! Keep passing the baby around! ” Cy shouted. Panther looked confused.

” The dinosaur won’t harm whoever is holding him, ” he explained. Panther gave Lamb to Bobby. Bobby quickly gave him to Jane. Jane passed him onto Cy. In turn, he gave Lamb back to Panther. The children kept passing Lamb around. “ Whee! ” giggled Lamb.

He thought they were playing a game . The dinosaur stopped and looked at them. Her small eyes followed Lamb . But she looked confused. “ Come on, sun, ” prayed Cy. The sun was just about to set. Finally, the dinosaur was tired of the game. Swishing her powerful tail, she ran toward her nest.
