Little Fox Readers · Fun at Kids Central-2
Beanbag Toss
Jason walked into the gym, feeling upset. He’d heard his dad talking on the phone last night. It sounded like Dad’s job was about to change again. “ What if I can’t come to Kids Central anymore?” Jason thought. “ For today’s activity, you’ll be in two groups, ” Miss Shelly said. “ Each group will make a box for a beanbag toss. ”
“ Ooh, ” Izzie said. “ Fun! ” “ How do you play?” Nina asked. “ You throw beanbags into a hole, ” Bobby said. “ The team with the most points wins. ” He grinned. “ I’m awesome at this game! ” “ We can design the boxes?” Jason asked. That sounded fun. He loved to draw.
Miss Shelly nodded. “ We’re going to make a Kids Central version of the game. ” “ Cool, ” Ethan said. Jason looked at the art supplies: markers, paint, fabric, glue. “ Team One is Bobby, Jason, and Nina, ” Miss Shelly said.
“ Team Two is Izzie and Ethan. Talk about your favorite parts of Kids Central. Use these ideas to decorate your box. ” Jason got a box. Nina taped it shut. Then Miss Shelly flipped it over and cut a hole in the middle. “ Now we have to decorate it, ” Bobby said. “ What’s your favorite part of Kids Central?”
“ My friends! ” Nina said. “ What about you, Bobby?” “ I like playing games, ” Bobby said. “ And cooking. ” Bobby and Nina looked at Jason. “ I might have to leave Kids Central again, ” he blurted out.
