Roxy flew over Metro City. “ I probably won’t get to see my friends today, ” she thought. Roxy was disappointed. Suddenly she had an idea. “ The Mighty Man actor has superpowers now! I can teach him to fight villains. Then I’ll have a helper. I can spend more time with my friends. It’s a perfect plan! ”

Roxy found Detective Smith outside True Savings Bank. “ You can’t rob the bank yet, Detective, ” Roxy said. “ Someone else is robbing it now. ” Detective Smith rolled his eyes. “ Very funny, Rocket Girl. ” “ Did you see the bank robber?” Roxy asked.

“ No, but a witness saw her. ” The detective opened his notepad. “ He said she’s—” Ka-boom! A big orange brute crashed through the wall. She was holding a sack of money. “ Who are you?” Roxy shouted.

“ I’m Rumbler! ” The robber made a fist. Pow! “ “ Ouch! ” Roxy slammed into a steel pole. It fell over. Rumbler laughed. Roxy ran toward the villain. Suddenly she heard a voice in her head. “ Don’t fight Rumbler! ”

“ It’s the voice from last night. ” Roxy’s legs grew heavy. “ It’s trying to control me! ” “ Yes, I am, ” the voice said. Roxy used her super strength. Slowly she forced her legs to move. “ Get . . . out of my . . . head! ” The voice was gone.
