“ Furbit’s trying to eat me! ” Roxy cried. “ Oh no! ” Officer Wells said. Roxy fired her eye laser beams. Whiz- hoo! They bounced off Furbit’s teeth and hit a wall. Roxy saw smoke. “ Don’t do that! ” Dr. Chen shouted. “ You’ll burn a hole in the space station! ” “ Sorry! ” Roxy said.

Furbit tossed Roxy into his wide mouth. Roxy was in the dark. She punched and kicked. Furbit rolled around. Next Roxy tried her super strength. She pushed Furbit’s mouth open. Roxy dived out. “ Whew! ” Now Furbit looked ill. “ Furbit, are you okay?” Roxy flew up and patted him on the back. “ Furbit?”

Braaap! Furbit burped loudly. “ Whoa! ” Roxy cried. A computer flew out of Furbit’s mouth. Several phones followed. Dr. Chen grabbed a phone. “ The phone still works! We can contact the Space Agency now! ”

Furbit burped some more. Sleeping bags, tools, and other items flew out. Furbit grew smaller. Officer Wells looked at the items. “ A lot of this stuff is broken. ” He bit his lip. “ I hope Commander Smith doesn’t get too mad. ” “ Where is he, anyway?” another astronaut said.

Furbit let out one last burp. Braap! A man flew out of the creature’s mouth. By now Furbit was tiny again. Roxy gasped when she realized who the man was. “ You’re Commander Smith! ” “ Ugh! ” the commander said. “ That was terrible. ” He looked over at Roxy. “ Oh! Rocket Girl! Thanks for saving me. ”
