A New Nest

Roxy helped gather the zoo animals. “ Now I have to find Robin, ” she thought. Roxy flew to the Raptor Center. She spotted Terrell, Mara, and Jack. But Robin wasn’t in sight Roxy landed on top of the main building. Peeking through a window, Roxy saw Robin. The woman still wore her hawk disguise.

Roxy leaped through the window. “ I’ve got you, Thunderhawk! ” Robin gasped. Then her face had a nasty look. She raised her wings. “ Hurricane—” Zoom! Roxy charged at the villain. They crashed through the wall and landed on the ground below.

“ Rocket Girl! ” Mara cried. As Roxy and Robin wrestled, Terrell watched anxiously. Finally Roxy pinned Robin to the ground. “ Give up, Thunderhawk! ” Robin let out a cry. “ Kee, kee! ” Roxy was confused. “ What are you doing?”

Robin ignored her. “ Kee, kee! ” With a rushing sound, raptors swooped down. They clawed at Roxy. “ Hey! ” Roxy waved her arms to protect herself. “ What’s going on?” Robin slipped free. “ I can speak to birds, Rocket Girl. I protect them, so they protect me! ”

Roxy tried to shoo away the raptors. “ I don’t want to hurt these birds, ” she thought. “ Rocket Girl! ” Terrell cried. “ Use your super breath! ” Roxy saw that Terrell was standing near a large open cage. Whoosh! She blew.
