Toad Gets Revenge

The possum looked closely at Toad. “ Did you say you are a toad?” she asked. She stepped closer. “ You are a toad! ” she screamed.

Toad backed away from her. “ I don’t like toads at all! ” she yelled. She grabbed him by the leg. “ Stop! Let go of me! ” cried Toad.

She swung him around three times! “ Ahhh, ” cried Toad. “ I’m getting dizzy! ” “ Get off my boat! ” the possum yelled. Then she let him go.

Toad flew through the air. He went over the side of the boat. “ Ahhh! ” screamed Toad. “ I’m falling! ” With a splash, Toad fell into the water.

Toad coughed. “ The water is cold! ” he cried. His bonnet was soaked. A lily pad covered his head. The possum looked back and laughed.
