Freedom!

Toad walked through the dungeon. His heart beat wildly. “ This is crazy, ” he thought. “ Someone will know it’s me. ”

Toad stepped out into a yard. Across the yard was a gate. “ No one is stopping me! ” thought Toad.

“ Washwoman, you’re late today, ” said the guard. “ Here, I’ll unlock the door for you. ” “ It’s working! ” thought Toad. “ I fooled him! ”

Another guard stood at the next gate. “ Give me a hug! ” said the guard. “ You work so hard. This prison is lucky to have you. ”

Toad was giggling under his bonnet. He hugged the guard. The last gate shut behind him. He was free!
