One day, an old woman made a gingerbread cookie. It looked like a little man. “ How good you smell! I will eat you, ” said the woman. But the cookie came to life! He shouted, “ Run, run, as fast as you can! You can’t catch me. I’m the gingerbread man. ”

And he ran away. The woman ran after the cookie, but he ran very fast. She could not catch the gingerbread man. The cookie ran past a dog. “ Woof! How good you smell! I will eat you, ” said the dog. The gingerbread man shouted, “ Run, run, as fast as you can! You can’t catch me. I’m the gingerbread man. ”

The dog ran after the cookie, but the cookie ran very fast. The dog could not catch the gingerbread man. The cookie ran past a child. “ Stop! How good you smell! I will eat you, ” said the child. The gingerbread man shouted, “ Run, run, as fast as you can!
