Snow Day
It snowed all night. The snow piled higher and higher. First, it covered the grass. Then, it covered the bushes. By morning, it even covered the cars. “ Rich and Paul! No school today! ” called Mom. “ Did you hear that?” Rich asked his brother.
“ Wow, no school! ” shouted Paul. Rich and Paul love snow days. They don’t have to go to school. Snow days are never boring. There are so many things to do. First, Paul and Rich make snow angels. They find a place in the snow with no footprints. Carefully, Rich and Paul lie down in the snow.
“ Spread your arms and legs. Move them up and down like this, ” says Rich. When they stand up, they can see angel shapes in the snow. “ Ha-ha-ha! ” they laugh. Next, Paul and Rich decide to go sledding. They both have a fast sled.
“ Let’s race, ” says Rich. “ Sure! Are you ready?” says Paul. “ Ready, set, go! ” They race down the hill. They go faster and faster: “ Aaaaaaaah! ” “ I’m the winner, ” says Paul. “ Do you want to go one more time?” “ No, I declare war! ” yells Rich.
“ Wait! ” shouts Paul. Rich hits Paul with a snowball. “ I’m not ready, ” says Paul. Rich hits Paul with another snowball. They have a snowball fight. Rich and Paul hit each other with many snowballs. They get covered in snow. Then Rich hits Paul with a really big snowball. It is a fun war.
