Dreaming of Spring

It’s a dark day. The sky is gray. And the air is cool. Not much to do. It’s the end of winter.

It’s a gloomy day. The snow is melting away. The trees have no leaves. Not much to see. It’s the end of winter.

It’s a slow day. The butterflies are away. The animals are inside. Nature is hiding. It’s the end of winter.

It’s a boring day. There are no kids outside at play. My bike and ball are packed. My tent and rope are stacked. It’s the end of winter.

But soon! It will be a bright day. The sun will shine its rays. And the air will warm our hearts. There’ll be lots of games to start. It will be spring.
