Trouble at The Wharf

hoosh! Roxy zoomed over Metro City. “ I have to stop those pirates, ” she thought. She spotted The Wharf and saw people outside. They looked scared. A loud crash came from inside the restaurant. Then Roxy heard laughter. Roxy rushed in. Food and broken plates covered the floor.

People were hiding behind chairs and under tables. “ This is terrible! ” a woman cried. “ I should have eaten at home! ” Mean-looking pirates stood around one long table, shouting and laughing. A waiter stood on the table. He shook with fear as the pirates pointed swords at him.

“ You’re going to walk the plank! ” one pirate shouted. A parrot sat on her shoulder. “ The plank! ” the parrot said. The waiter bit his lip. “ I wish Rocket Girl was here! ” “ Who’s Rocket Girl?” the pirate asked. “ Who’s Rocket Girl?” the parrot said. “ I am! ” Roxy said. “ And I’m putting a stop to this right now! ”

The pirates spun around. “ Whew! ” the waiter said. “ Thanks, Rocket Girl! ” Roxy glared at the pirates. “ This is not how you behave in a restaurant! ” “ My name is Bonnie Bones, ” the pirate with the parrot said.

“ We’re pirates, and we behave any way we like. We rob banks and we cause trouble! ” She kicked a chair. “ Yo-ho-ho! ” the parrot said. “ You’re all under arrest, ” Roxy said. Bonnie Bones pointed her hook at Roxy. “ Get her, men! ” “ Arr! ” The pirates charged toward Roxy, waving their swords. Whiz-hoo!
