The fairies peeked through the balcony doors. Bert was eating birthday cake. “ Finish up, Bert, ” his dad said. “ We’re going to the movies. ”

Bert’s mom smiled. “ A special birthday treat! ” Bert gulped down his cake. “ Ready! ” Soon the family left. The fairies found an open window.

Here’s Bert’s bedroom, ” Bumble said. Wow! ” Hob said. “ Bert really likes butterflies. ” The fairies saw books about butterflies.

Butterfly models sat on a shelf. Colorful butterfly posters covered the walls. Feather found a tiny picture of a swallowtail butterfly. “ Perfect! ” she said.

At the Wish Factory, Blinx was busy. “ I’m mixing potions and powders today, ” he snapped. “ Come back tomorrow! ”
