At the Wish Factory, Blinx bowed and bowed. “ It’s good to see you, Blinx, ” the Queen said. “ I have many fairies to test today. Can you make these gifts quickly?”

“ Of course, Your Majesty! ” Blinx said. He hurried to the back. “ I’ve never seen Blinx act so nice, ” Feather whispered.

Hob chuckled. “ Or so nervous. He forgot the wishbits. ” Blinx returned, his ears bright red. “ I forgot these, ” he mumbled, snatching the socks.

While the fairies waited, the Queen asked them more questions. Feather, Hob, and Bumble were nervous. Sprite was not.

“ How do you hide from humans?” the Queen asked. “ Easy! ” Sprite said. “ You change shape. I usually turn into a twig or pebble. ” She turned into a pebble.
