The Special Day

Today is a special day for our family. It is Grandma's birthday.

We are going to have a birthday party! Don't tell Grandma! The party is a surprise!

Everybody has a job to do. My sister keeps Grandma busy outside.

Mom bakes a birthday cake. Dad decorates the room. I set the table.

My younger brother peeks out the window. He watches for Grandma.

“ Are we ready now? “ ” We have the cake, the birthday card, the gifts, and the candles. "
