Lemonade Stand

Rosa counted dimes and quarters. “ We have five dollars, ” she said.

Jo grinned. “ Now can we buy that magic kit?” “ Not yet, ” said Rosa.

“ But we can do a magic trick. ” “ How?” asked Jo. “ First, we need some lemons, ” said Rosa. “ Then, we’ll turn the lemons into money! ”

Later the twins set up a table and a sign. They had pitchers of lemonade and cups.

A boy rode by on a bike. “ Hey! ” Rosa shouted. “ “ Want some lemonade? It only costs two dollars! ”

“ Two dollars for lemonade?” said the boy. “ Are you crazy?”
