Meeting at the Park

Mom was taking Oliver to the dentist. Dad was taking Harry and Emmy shopping.

“ Let’s meet at the park at eleven o’clock, ” Mom said. “ If we’re early, we’ll wait at the playground. ” “ If we’re early, we’ll wait at the creek, ” Dad said.

Oliver and Mom arrived a few minutes late. They walked along the edge of the creek. But they didn’t see Dad and the kids.

“ Maybe they’re waiting at the playground, ” Oliver said. But there was no sign of them there.

Oliver played on the swings and the slide. Then he and Mom checked the creek again. Oliver tossed stones into the water.

“ Where are they?” Mom asked. “ Let’s check the playground again, ” Oliver said. He climbed to the top of the slide.
