The Graphic Novel

Oliver was reading a graphic novel. “ This is cool! " Oliver said. An explorer walked through a jungle. Her name was Dana Swift.

Thick branches blocked Dana's path. She pushed them out of the way.

Dana swam across a wide river. Oliver gulped. " Crocodiles! ”

Oliver quickly flipped the page. Dana fought off the crocodiles. Next she climbed up a mountain. “ There's the secret cave! ” Oliver said.

Mom walked into the room. “ Who wants to go for a hike?” she asked. “ Me! ” Emmy and Harry said.

Oliver groaned. " I'm reading! " “ You can read later, ” Emmy said. “ Yeah, let's go! ” Harry said.
