A Special Dinner

It was Mom and Dad’s wedding anniversary. The kids and Aunt Judy were making dinner. “ It will be very special! ” Oliver said.

“ Let’s make pasta, ” Emmy said. “ And sauce with vegetables, ” Aunt Judy said. “ And cake! ” Harry said. “ And toast, ” Oliver said.

“ Toast isn’t special, ” Harry said. Oliver shrugged. “ I’m good at making toast. “

Emmy boiled pasta. Harry and Aunt Judy chopped vegetables. Oliver made toast.

Emmy tasted the sauce. “ It needs a little salt, ” she thought. She put some in.

Harry and Emmy mixed the cake batter. Harry put the pan in the oven. Aunt Judy put the vegetables in the sauce. “ It needs a little salt, ” she thought.
