Picking Berries

“ It’s a good day for picking berries! ” Dad said. The family was at a farm. There were rows of blueberry bushes. Everyone had a bucket.

Harry ate several blueberries. “ Mmm! ” Emmy ate a few berries too. “ Delicious! ” Then Dad and Oliver ate some.

Mom frowned. “ Don’t eat the berries now, ” she said. “ I want to take lots of berries home. We will cook blueberry pancakes and blueberry pie. ”

“ Yum! ” Harry and Emmy said. “ I love blueberry pancakes and pie! ” Oliver said.

Oliver picked some ripe berries. “ Pancakes and pie, ” Oliver said to himself. He put all the berries into his bucket.
