“ Wizard! ” The king’s face was red. “ Do something! ” “ I’ll look for a spell! ” Tom said.

Tom ran past the Royal Kitchen. “ Tom! Help! ” Cook cried. “ All our food has disappeared. There is nothing to eat! ”

Then Tom heard screams from outside. He hurried to the Royal Stables.

All the horses were running around the yard. The tiger was chasing them! “ Help, Tom! ” the stable boy cried. “ Do something, Wizard! ” Dirk shouted.

“ I’ll try! ” Tom called. He raced to the royal grandmother’s room. He knocked hard on her door. “ Your Majesty? May I come in?”
