Tom was at the Royal Fair. “ Look, ” said Cook. “ It’s a grab bag game! ” “ Grab bags are fun, ” the royal weaver said. “ Let’s play! ”

Everyone put a gift card in the bag. Cook put in a card for a free feast. The royal barber gave a free haircut. Tom’s card said, One Free Magic Spell.

Everyone picked a card from the bag. Tom took his turn. He pulled out a card. “ I won a rug from the royal weaver! ”

Next it was Dirk’s turn. Tom held his breath. Dirk was mean. Tom did not want to do a spell for him.

Dirk pulled out a card. He looked at it and frowned. “ What did you get?” Cook asked. Dirk didn’t say anything.
