Tom and the Dragon

Tom shook as he looked at the dragon. “ You can do this, ” Tom told himself. “ You can stop the dragon! ”

Tom waved his wand. “ Dragon— begone! ” he cried. But the dragon didn’t go. The dragon danced.

Tom waved his wand again and again. The dragon did jumping jacks. The dragon spun around. Suddenly Cat got an idea.

She pointed to the farmer’s milk cart. “ Tom, can you make the cart roll?” Tom waved his wand. “ Milk cart—start! ” The cart sat there.

Tom tried again. This time the cart did move. It rolled fast down the hill!
