The Palace

The Palace

Tom and Cat came out of the Dark Forest. They were on their way to the palace. “ Why are you going to the palace?” Cat asked.

“ I want to be the royal wizard, ” Tom said. “ But I’m not very good at magic. ” “ You have a kind heart, ” Cat said.

Soon Tom saw the palace. “ Wow! ” he said. The palace had tall white towers. There was a wide moat and a drawbridge.

Two guards stood near the gates. “ Hurry up! ” said one guard. “ The tryouts start soon! ”

Tom ran into the Grand Hall. Some wizards were gathered around a tall man. “ My name is Dirk! ” the man snapped. “ I’m the head servant here! ”
