Bird read her to-do list. She cleaned her nest. Kip waved a piece of paper. “ I also have a to-do list, Bird! ”

Kip jumped into the pond. “ Hmm, ” Bird thought. “ Swimming isn't a chore! ”

Kip dried off. He checked his list. “ Next I'll go down the slide, ” he said.

Bird checked her list. “ My chores are done! ” she said. “ Maybe Kip wants to go to the beach. ”

Bird went to Kip's den. Kip was in bed. “ I did all my chores, ” Bird said. “ Want to do something fun?”
