Every time I needed to use the bathroom this week, I waited to make sure no one was around, then I crawled underneath my stall door. It was like I had a tiny little apartment in there. In fact, I wish I'd thought of this idea a long time ago. For a few days my system worked great. No one even TRIED to use my private stall.

But then I forgot to pick one of the spare shoes up off the ground, and I guess that must've looked pretty suspicious from the outside. It wasn't long before people figured out I was hoarding quality toilet paper, and things pretty quickly after that.

Friday I think what students learned from the toilet paper experience is that if we want something, we're gonna have to raise the money on our own. So last week the student council brainstormed ideas for a class fundraiser. The Vice President, Hillary Pine, said we should have a car wash, and the Secretary, Olivia Davis, said we should do a giant yard sale. I thought we should sell caramel popcorn, but either Rowley didn't have his walkie-talkie up loud enough or everybody was just ignoring me.

Eugene Ellis suggested a pro wrestling match in the gym, and Javan Hill came up with the idea of a motocross stunt show. But they couldn't decide which idea they liked better, so they settled on a mixed motocross/wrestling event. I think Eugene realized it was gonna take a lot of work to pull something like that off, so he assigned it to his Vice President. Hillary formed a fund raising committee and got her friends on the student council to join it. On Monday, Hillary reporting back to the student

council and said that everything for the events was planned but that Fund Raising Committee had made a few small changes to the original idea. Somehow the motocross/wrestling events morphed into a VALENTINE'S DAY. Eugene and the other guys wanted to change it back, but Mrs. Birch said they had to respect the decision of the Fundraising Committee. I'm sure the truth is that she wasn't really crazy about the idea of motorised vehicles in the gym to begin with. Ever since word got out about the Valentine's Day dance, it's all anyone can talk about at school. The girls seem really excited, and they're treating it like some sort of middle school prom. There's already a Dance Committee, which Rowley

got invited to be on since he's the Social Chairperson. I'm just glad there is some male representation of that committee, because if the girls have their way, Krisstina will be the entertainment for the night. Most of the boys couldn't care less about the dance. I've heard a bunch of guys saying there's no way there gonna pay three bucks to go to a dance in the school gymnasium. But that all changed earlier this week when the first Candy Grams got handed out in homeroom. The Candy Grams are invitations to the Valentine's Day dance, And the Dance Committee started selling them at lunch the other day. If you pay twenty-five cents, you can send a Candy Gram to anyone you want, and Bryce Anderson got ones from at least five different girls write off the bat.
